
Set in the Muromachi period, the story of the beautiful youth Oniyasha, later known as Zeami. Raised by his skill-obsessed father Kan'ami, Oniyasha cannot understand why people enjoy art and performance. One day at a village-edge home, he sees a woman singing and dancing and is inexplicably captivated. Through encounters with others, the curious Oniyasha learns to laugh and cry, faces his own weakness, and while experiencing life's impermanence, gradually creates a new form of dance.
